OPA'S SOAP & Candles proudly donates 10% of all proceeds to charities we hold very dear to our hearts, including organizations like Cops Fighting Cancer and Mountain Valor Research. You can learn more about these charities supported by our initiative at their respective websites. 

Cops Fighting Cancer, which can be found at http://copsfightingcancer.org, is particularly special to us as OPA is a retired LEO, and OMA is a cancer survivor. Founded by an active Aurora, CO LEO, this organization consists of police and civilian volunteers who provide emotional and practical financial support, making a REAL difference in the fight against cancer. They offer individualized financial assistance to families, addressing everyday financial obligations such as rent, mortgage, car payments, insurance premiums, food, and clothing. By focusing on the “most pressing need,” they allow patients and families to concentrate on recovery.

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be devastating, especially when it affects a child. The world shifts focus to the diagnosed individual, and that's where Cops Fighting Cancer steps in. Our volunteers recognize that life continues moving forward, even when families battling cancer feel stagnant. Cops Fighting Cancer provides a shoulder to lean on, asking what they can do to help. Often, it’s simply being there to listen, offering a hug, or giving a toy to bring a smile to a child’s face.

Another organization we support is Mountain Valor Research, which you can find at https://www.mountainvalor.org/about-us. This charity is dedicated to making an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of wounded veterans and first responders. Through transformative experiences set against the stunning landscapes of Colorado, their programs aim to provide a necessary break from daily life while raising awareness about the high rates of PTSD and suicide within the community.
