THE STORY OF OPA’S SOAP & Candles

After 35 years in law enforcement, “Opa” (German for Grandpa) retired and started a new hobby…soap making! Our grandchildren affectionately named it “Opa’s soap”, which inspired the brand name. Since 2015, we have been dedicated to creating safe and sustainable handcrafted soap. Initially, our soaps were for personal use, shared with family and gifted to friends and neighbors. With much encouragement, we are thrilled to now offer our handcrafted soap products to everyone. It has been a journey filled with passion, pleasure, learning, and plenty of trial and error, but we have perfected our process and are excited to share it with you.

In 2020, we expanded our offerings to include non-toxic candles. “Oma” has always loved and used candles, so it felt natural to add them to our production, thus becoming OPA’S SOAP & Candles. We prioritize using 100% NON-paraffin waxes and NON-toxic ingredients, ensuring that our candles are as safe as our soaps. Just like our handcrafted soap, we began using our candles ourselves and gifting them, and now we proudly offer them to you.
